Inclined Plate Clarifiers

The Inclined Plate Clarifiers are designed and manufactured to provide for the precipitation and removal of suspended material in waste steam.

The IPC employs the use of a series of plates inclined at an angle of 55. This specialized design allows the IPC to perform all of the functions of a conventional solids contact clarifier at a fraction of the space and cost.

Gravity settling permits removal of particles which have densities greater than that of water. Separation is accomplished by detaining the process stream for a long enough period of time to allow the particles to settle. These particles obey Strokes Law which establishes the theoretical terminal velocities of these particles. Sizes are available up to 1,000 square feet of projected plate surface area.
